A bad beginning-morning: the breakfast-place of my selection, two blocks from the hotel, featured slow service with drum and bass on its Noise Pollution Unit. My new noise-cancelling headphones broke, exposing me to the terror and horror of witless, arbitrary noise. This unpleasant experience was followed by a visit to the Apple store opposite the hotel - wonderment and delight! - and new fabbo noise-cancelling headphones. A salad at California Pizza Kitchen for lunch. Spirits gradually recovered during the afternoon, knowing the evening would be an opportunity to redeem last night. A light audience, but overall a much more relaxed event than yesterday.
The venue’s dressing room was a recording studio for the two days and part of the kitchen area became my backstage changing room…

Four Quarters’ Maintainers: John N. & Collin.
I stayed for Porcupine Tree, this their second night of filming: they were superb. For me, their best show. Followed by discussions with PT’s manager Andy re: how a band may be independent.
Now, back to Hotel I-Am-Very-Happy-To-Be-Here for a California Pizza Kitchen salad takeaway.
